The Hound: Arya’s POVs in A Storm of Swords

iwishthehoundwerehere:

I noticed that suddenly in the middle of their time together, when Arya thinks of the Hound, he is no longer referred to as “the Hound” or “Sandor Clegane”, but just “Sandor”. I’d have to look back, but I think it happens at around the same time as him giving her the dagger, and not watching her every move as he used to.

It’s not often the Hound is referred to as simply “Sandor” in the book series, so it stood out for me, and I noticed the second it happened that it had happened. She might not like him or know she likes him, but something changed in her attitude towards him, and it reflected in what she called him in her head.

On Sunday 18th March the imposing yet personable actor was kind enough to sit down to a pint of Guinness in the bar at Birmingham’s Hilton Metropole Hotel while attending Starfury Throne Con.

Rory “before I was an actor I was a lumberjack” McCann.
I’m not sure if he really is this manly and awesome or if he’s just trolling us all. Either way, I like.

He’s not. For reals. Go back and read the convo between Brienne and the Elder Brother again. “The Hound” is an aspect of his personality, not Sandor himself. :)
